Registration Form
Fill in your personal details
1. You must fill in the online registration form in order to apply for the test.
2. You must have a valid UWE ID to take the test.
3. You must upload a photo of your passport page when filling in the form. Failure to upload a passport matching the details in the application will result in the application being rejected.
4. You are only allowed to sign up for the test once. After this, the application form will automatically block your UWE ID number. If you have tested in previous years and need to test for a different intake, or if you would like to change your test date, contact your country manager.
5. All tests are conducted remotely on your own device using Inspera Exam Browser. You will need to download this software before your test date. Instructions on how to download and use the software will be provided via email and discussed during your test induction, which will take place the week before your test.
6. You must present your passport before commencing the test. Should your passport not match your physical identity, you will be withdrawn from the test. Passports are the only accepted form of ID.
7. You must keep your camera and microphone on at all times. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
8. The exam browser will prevent you from accessing any other programs, tools or websites. Attempts to do so may result in disqualification.
9. You have 3 hours 10 minutes to complete the listening, reading and writing components. There will be no breaks during this time, and you must remain at your computer until you have submitted your answers.
10. Should you be found to have cheated, you will be disqualified, and you will not be permitted to take the UWE test again. This will be added to your record.
11. If you are successful in passing the listening, reading and writing components, you will be invited to take the speaking test.
12. You will be invited to an exam induction the week before the test. Test login credentials will only be issued to those who have attended the induction. By attending the induction, you confirm that you have successfully downloaded the exam software and completed system checks, and that you will attend the test.
13. The UWE English Language Test certificate is valid for two-years and can only be used for entry onto UWE courses (some exceptions apply).
PLEASE NOTE!
1. NO TELEPHONES OR OTHER DEVICES ARE PERMITTED FOR USE DURING THE TEST.
2. NO OTHER WEB PAGES OR BROWSERS TO BE OPENED AT THE TIME OF THE TEST OTHER THAN THE EXAM BROWSER.
3. ID MUST BE SHOWN TO THE CAMERA BEFORE STARTING THE TEST.
4. PEN AND PAPER ARE PERMITTED DURING THE EXAM.
5. IF YOU ARE HAVING A TECHNICAL PROBLEM DURING THE TEST, CONTACT YOUR COUNTRY MANAGER.
6. IYOU WILL NEED A LAPTOP OR DESKTOP COMPUTER TO COMPLETE THE TEST. IN ORDER TO DOWNLOAD AND RUN THE INSPERA EXAM PORTAL (IEP) APPLICATION, YOUR DEVICE MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
• WINDOWS: 10 OR 11
• MAC: BIG SUR (VERSION 11) OR HIGHER
